Product Description

 IRON (III) HYDROXIDE POLYMALTOSE COMPLEX TABLETS     IRON (III) HYDROXIDE POLYMALTOSE COMPLEX EQUIVALENT TO ELEMENTAL IRON 100mg + FOLIC 

     ACID 1.0mg  TABLETS (Chewable Tablets)

It is a water soluble iron oxide, macro molecular complex of poly nuclear Iron (III) Hydroxide and partially hydrolysed dextrin (polymaltose).

Mode of action
  The absorption of ferric iron from IPC is
  controlled by a feedback mechanism.
   When IPC comes in contact with the iron
   Binding sites at the mucosal surface,
    a physiological exchange is assumed to occur.
    IPC releases the required amount of ferric
    iron, which is actively transported into the
   mucosal cell by a carrier protein and from
   there released for binding to ferritin or
   transferrin.

Treatment of latent iron deficiency and iron
deficiency anaemia, Prevention of iron and folic
acid deficiency before, during and after
pregnancy, For prophylatic therapy of iron
deficiency to cover the recommended daily

       lactation.
